Biography

Megan Rigoni is a graduate of Edith Cowan University and La Trobe University receiving her Bachelor of Education in 2000. A former teacher, Megan is an award winning playwright, screenwriter and producer. She enjoys writing heart-felt plays and screenplays that educate, elevate and engage audiences.
Trading as Centre Stage Scripts, Megan began writing for theatre in education and arts and health in 1999.
Her writing credits include: two plays for young people registered at Australian Plays Transform; four theatre in education plays with music for large casts (up to 100); two arts and health plays with music for large casts (up to 70) ; two touring mental health plays produced for small casts (2-3) ; two screenplays-Days Like These and The Rain Maker.

Production credits include:
‘Symphony of Life’ play with music paying tribute to Bravehearts on the Murray cancer support group Hothouse Theatre, 2012
‘Heroes’ men's health play with music, Cube Theatre,2014

Megan lives on a beef cattle ranch in high country Victoria with her husband. Their daughters are based in Melbourne and son on his nearby farm.
